Age 84, died Friday, April 12, 2002 at home. She was born on July 28, 1917 to the late Albert and Anna (Grunewald) Tews in Caroline, WI. She married Fred R. Pehlke on April 13, 1940 in Bowler, WI. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1994. In Dorothy’s younger days she enjoyed camping, fishing and a good game of cards.

She is survived by her sister, Gladys Bartleme; five nieces and four nephews, Mildred Schultz, Gene (Yvonne) Matz, Rita (Dewey) Norton, Rodney (Carolynn) Matz, William (Delores) Bartleme, Richard (Joyce) Bartleme, Susan (Kenneth) Casper, Kathie Barthleme and Romona (Ron) Pederson. Many great nieces and nephews will also miss her.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters.

The funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2002 at Star of Hope Chapel, 3131 North Richmond Street, Appleton with Pastor Verbeke officiating. Friends and family will be received on Sunday from noon until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran School.
