DANKMEYER, DONALD JAMES

Donald James Dankmeyer, age 80, formerly of Tigerton, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2011 at St. Joseph Residence in New London. He was born on September 9, 1931 in Tigerton, the son of the late August and Clarissa (Meacham) Dankmeyer. Don served in the U.S. Army and was then employed by the Tigerton Lumber Company. He was married to Pam (Polley) Dankmeyer, she survives. Don is also survived by two brothers: Leroy Dankmeyer, Wittenberg and Bill (Pat) Dankmeyer, West Bend; sister: Alice Rosenow, Wittenberg; sisters-in-law: Sharon Dedolph and Sally Matson and brother-in-law: Dale Bartow. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Phyllis Bartow and Juanita Valdez; three brothers-in-law: Pete Valdez, Clifford Rosenow and Roger Polley and a sister-in-law: Juanita Dankmeyer.

Arrangements are being made for a spring memorial service and burial at Union Cemetery in Tigerton.
