Dolores was the fourth of five children for Louis and Mathilda (VanLanen) Etten born on their farm in Greenleaf on July 17, 1918. Penney's, and later at Close's in Appleton. Once she retired, she began a hobby of quilt making and crocheted rug making—works of art given to be treasured by her children and grandchildren.
