David William Huhn

September 14, 1956 — July 12, 2016

David William Huhn, age 59 of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. David was born on September 14, 1956, in Appleton, to Marie (Frisbie) Huhn and the late Maurice Huhn.

As a child, Dave loved the outdoors, and did his whole life. He grew up in Appleton and attended Appleton East High School. After High School, he received training as a glazier. Dave had a witty sense of humor, he was an amazing craftsman, and some say he was a sort of MacGeyver as well. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at the deer shack. He would often pick up his son, Brandon, from school with the family boat, and take him out fishing. Dave was always positive and never complained, he always appreciated the help others gave him and remembered to tell his family he loved them. He was an avid dog lover, and loved showing off his trail camera pictures to anyone who would stop and look.

Dave is survived by his children; Brandon (Molly) Huhn, and Chanda (Josh) Garrow, his siblings; Christine Cliburn of Redwood Valley, California, Mary Kay (George) O'Brien of Mequon, Michael (Laura) Huhn of Culpeper, Virginia, Patrick (Elizabeth) Huhn of Hortonville, Janet (David) Gunderson of Appleton, Peter (Brenda) Huhn of Hortonville, Jane (Michael) Kessel of Weston, Steven (Clare) Huhn of Madison, and Matthew (Shannon) Huhn of Bluffton, South Carolina. He is also survived by his expected granddaughter, baby Garrow, and his grand-dog Oaklee. He is further survived by the guys at the deer shack, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Huhn, his brother Charles Huhn, and his cousin Todd Frisbie.

No services are planned for Dave at this time. The family would like to thank the many neighbors, health professionals, and family members who have helped in this difficult time. Memorials in Dave's name will be presented to the Fox Valley Brain Tumor Coalition (fvbtc.org) to help others who are in need. For further information please visit www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.
