Age 61, of Menasha passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 3, 2004 at his home. He was born on August 25, 1943 in Appleton the son of the late Andrew A. and Catherine (Wendel) Stumpf. He served his country in the United States Navy as a Medical Corpsman at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. He resided on the Stumpf family farm on Manitowoc road all of his life. He enjoyed auto racing and playing softball at the Town of Harrison softball diamond. He was a member of the American Legion Post of Darboy.
He is survived by his two brothers Andrew (Sharon) Stumpf of Kimberly and Jesse (Lavonne) Stumpf of Neenah; his nieces: Amy (Jeff) Crozier of Appleton, Susan (Mark) Dietz of DePere, and Jenny (Scott) Schroeter of Manitowoc; and his nephews: Barry (Lori) Stumpf of Little Chute, Michael (Christine) Stumpf of Superior, Eric (Marcie) Stumpf of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Justin (Terri) Stiper of Milwaukee; and an aunt Martha Wendel of New Holstein. David was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
The mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Darboy with the Rev. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Interment with military honors will take place at Holy Angels Catholic Cemetery in Darboy. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established.
