David A. Anderson, of Appleton, age 65, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, October 21, 2004, at Cherry Meadow Hospice, following a year long battle with cancer. God saw he was getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around him and whispered “Come with Me”. With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, and saw him fade away, and though we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. David served his country enlisting in the Army Reserves in 1956 with an Honorable Discharge in 1957. Then enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1957, served on the USS William R. Rush DDR-714 as a weapons control technician receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1962. David was employed by NCR Corp. for 30 years retiring in January 1994.
