Daniel Hall Craven

Daniel Hall Craven, age 70, passed away at his home in Little Chute on Monday, December 7, 2009. He was born on May 31, 1939 in Galion, OH; son of the late Robert and Mary (Campbell) Craven. On January 5, 1987 he was married to Norine Blank combining both families and friends. Daniel graduated from Marion Harding High School in Ohio and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin specializing in Drafting/Pneumatics/Hydraulics. He served his country with the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966 with the Guard #127 Mech. Inf. (OPS NCO) and was also a member of the V.F.W. of Appleton and the American Legion of Little Chute. Daniel worked as a Draftsman with Marathon Engineering, Neenah and then worked with and retired from Kimberly-Clark as an Electrical Controls Engineer. He is survived by his wife, Norine Craven, Little Chute; son, Jon Paul (Karla) Craven, Appleton; step-children, Paul (Sara) Johnson and Tammy Rae (Dan) Kilsdonk, both of Neenah; step-grandchildren, Tayla Rae and Leah Sue Johnson, Andie Maria Kilsdonk and Sam and Brighton Telin; brothers, John Craven, Marion, Ohio, Art (Vada) Craven, Celina, Ohio, George (Helen) Craven, Coloma, Michigan and James (Jennet) Craven, Moss Point, Miss; mother-in-law, Susan Laabs, Little Chute; sisters-in-law, Ruby Craven, Possum Trot, Miss. And Susan Immekus, Appleton; brothers-in-law, Tim (Bev) Blank, Argonne, WI and Steve Laabs, Appleton and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Daniel Hall Craven, Jr.; brother, Donald Craven and sister-in-law, Maxine Craven. A memorial service for Daniel will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at FARGO FUNERAL HOME, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Military honors will be held following the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established in his name.

The family would like to say a special thank you to all of the wonderful people from Theda Care at Home Hospice; you made this last journey so comfortable and peaceful for Daniel. May God bless and keep all of you.
