Age 95, was called home to her Savior on Sunday, December 16, 2001 at Franciscan Care Center. She was born on October 16, 1906 in Appleton the daughter of the late Thomas and Ernestine (Bellin) Murphy, Sr. She was an active member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid of the church, a member of the choir, the Dorcas Society, the Fox Valley Lutheran Ladies Guild, and the Appleton Homemaker’s Club. Clara’s life was her Lord, her church, her home, and her family .

Clara is survived by her two sons Jerry R. Olm of Appleton, and Ronald B. (Jana Lea) Olm of Gold Canyon, Arizona; her two grandchildren Jeffrey (Stina Tjaden) Olm of Simi Valley, California; and Krista (Pasquale) Davis of Hortonville; and four great grandchildren Tjaden, Ruby, and Getty Olm of Simi Valley, California, and Pasquale Davis of Hortonville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, and her sisters-in-law Vivian, Marie, and Irene Murphy.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband Raymond on October 10, 1999, her parents, her brothers Walter, Thomas, Jack, Ralph, and Richard Murphy; and her two sisters Ruth Murphy and Stella Hintz.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 20, 2001 at 11:00 AM at ST. MATTHEW EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 South Mason Street with the Rev. David Pagel and Rev. Jeffrey Verbeke officiating. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church or Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Franciscan Care and Rehabilitation Center Unit 1, and the staff of Carolina Manor for all of their kindness shown to Clara.
