Callie Marie Rockman

Callie Marie Rockman left us on May 8, 2012. We are broken and lost. Her family, her friends, her school will never be the same. Her beautiful singing voice could be heard throughout our now-silent house. She loved music and writing and recently taught herself to play guitar. She cherished Appleton North's theater community which brought her incredible joy, hope and purpose through her toughest times. She felt accepted and loved and eagerly reciprocated that love to those around her. When she was 11, she chose to be a vegetarian because she loved all animals (even the fake ones). She loved all things Harry Potter, Dr Who and Pokémon. We will miss our baby girl. To all her friends and family, we want you to remember to celebrate her life…bury the guilt!

Callie is survived by her parents, Al and Mary Rockman; her sister and brothers, Aubrey, Jordan and Jace Rockman; her paternal grandfather, Gerald Rockman; her maternal grandmother, Audrey Wirkes and her very favorite cousin and friend, Christie Moore. She has many other caring cousins, aunts and uncles who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Diane Zenke, and her paternal grandmother, Verona Rockman.

Funeral services will be at Christ the Rock Community Church (W6254 US Highway 10-114, Menasha) on Monday, May 14, 2012. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm with a memorial service and reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family will establish a memorial in honor of Callie's life to benefit Appleton North Theatre and Life Promotions. Another special way to remember Callie would be to plant her favorite flower, Bleeding Hearts, any where you wish to be reminded of her. Thank you to all family, friends and students who have supported the Rockman family through this difficult time.
