Blanche Margaret Schmidt

Age 90 passed away at Peabody Manor on Thursday, June 7, 2001. She was born September 22, 1910 in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late John and Clara Chopin. Blanche married Edward J. Schmidt on June 27, 1934 at Craighead County, Arkansas.

Blanche will be remembered by all for her love of gardening, nature, and the out of doors in all seasons. She was a person who always had a kind word for everyone. Her sense of humor was enjoyed by friends and relatives. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and four godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Edward, in August 1988 and by a sister, Lillian Starke.

The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2001 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Family will greet friends directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established for Theda Care at Home Hospice.

Blanche will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
