Bill Walker

September 17, 1946 — June 28, 2014

William “Bill” Walker, age 67, of Manawa, passed away at home on Saturday following a brief illness. Bill was born on September 17, 1946, son of Gordon and the late Mae (Boettcher) Walker. He graduated from Appleton West High School in 1964, and shortly after proudly joined the United States Army earning the rank of First Lieutenant. On July, 28, 1990, Bill married the love of his life Judy Limpert in Snowmass, Colorado. They shared 24 wonderful years of marriage.

Bill had a love for all animals. He and Judy raised and showed horses, and were part of a basset hound rescue and adoption program in Colorado. Bill worked as a project manager at Myers and Company in Basalt, Colorado, for over 25 years. He also enjoyed working on cars and building things. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife Judy Walker; four children: Tim (Barb) Hanson, Mike (Amy) Hanson, Tracy (Rick) Felten, and Jim (Simone) Hanson; his grandchildren: Kayla (fiancé Ben), Jordyn, Morgan, Brent, Hunter, and Brody; and great grandchild Carter. He is further survived by his parents Gordon and Iola (Goldbeck) Walker; his siblings: Jill Liebscher, Kathy Walker, Scott Walker, David (Cathy) Walker, and Paul Walker; in-laws: Gary (Barb) Limpert, Pat Limpert, Scott (Deb) Limpert and Kelly (Cal) Watters and her children Amanda and Nick Siebers; he will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Mae Walker; father-in-law and mother-in-law Daniel and Karly Limpert; brother-in-law Daniel Limpert Jr. and numerous beloved pets.

A memorial service for Bill will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St, Appleton, with Rev. Gary Nokleberg officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
