BETTY JANE SCHROEDER, LITTTE CHUTE

Betty Jane Schroeder, 82, of Little Chute went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Rennes Health Care Center after a lengthy illness. Betty was born on April 20, 1927 to William and Selma (Wiese) Rosin in Wrightstown, WI. She married Lawrence Schroeder on May 20, 1950 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Betty Jane worked as a receptionist at Dr Bravick and Dr Querol's office from 1970 until her retirement. She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Rachel Circle; she volunteered at church and at the Bargain Garden. While a resident at Greenfield Manor, she enjoyed Thursday night get togethers and helping other residents, taking them to Doctor's appointments or running errands. A highlight for her were her trips to California and her cruise to Alaska with her sisters. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty Jane is survived by 3 children; Kathleen (Paul) Heyer, Appleton, Wendy (Robert) Mueller, Dousman, Mark (Merri) Schroeder, Appleton, 6 grandchildren; Nicole (Nathan) Danielson, Jenny (Pavel) Krikava, Jill (Steve) Miner, Travis Mueller, Kimberly Mueller, Darion Schroeder, 6 great-grandchildren; Ethan, Brooke, Whitney, Lukas, Tyler and Gabe, 2 sisters; Dorothy Persson and Oreta Green, a brother; Elton (Lenora) Rosin, brother-in-law; Don Schroeder, sisters-in-law; Ellen (Richard) Radley, Phyllis Schultz and Doris Rosin, faithful friends; Orabelle Porlier and Arline Ballering, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Betty Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Lawrence, an infant son; Larry, her mother-in-law; Verna, a sister; June (William) Schiefelbein and brother; Donald Rosin, brothers-in-law; Thomas Persson, Harvey Green and Kenneth (Carol) Schroeder and sisters-in-law; Betty (Emery) Eggenberger, Iris Schroeder and Judy Schroeder.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at ST. LUKE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH (705 E. Greenfield Dr., Little Chute) with Rev. Ronald Szep officiating. Friends may call on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Church from 9:00 AM until the time of the services. Betty Jane will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or Fox Valley Lutheran High School. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the care givers at Rennes Health Care Center and Theda Care at Home Hospice.
