Betty Ann Luebke

Betty Luebke, age 80, of Appleton passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Grand Horizons Assisted Living. Betty was born on November 20, 1931, daughter of the late Orson and Leone Warner. After graduating from Appleton High School, she met her husband Merlin Luebke while singing in the church choir. They were married on July 26, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The couple enjoyed traveling to Europe and volunteering at the Children's Museum.

Betty was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton which gave her guidance and strength throughout the years. As a member of the Women's Guild, she headed the fall craft bazaar for 25 years. Betty loved arts and crafts including knitting and weaving. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Merlin; her daughter, Linda (Norbert Jr.) West; and sons, David (Lynn) Luebke and Peter (Deborah) Luebke; all of Appleton. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason Fryar) West and James (Stacey) West; great grandchildren, Virginia and Charlotte West; and her sister-in-law Janet Warner. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Donald and Richard Warner.

The funeral service for Betty will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH (601 E. Glendale Ave, Appleton) with Reverend Paul Brinkman officiating.
