Arline Becher

October 28, 1926 — July 19, 2013

Early on the morning of July 19, 2013, our loving Savior granted Arline's wish to go home. Arline Genevieve Werner was born on October 28, 1926 in the town of Center, to Anton and Mary Magdalene (Mueller) Werner, Jr. She attended and graduated from the New London High School in 1944 and worked as a bookkeeper with a roofing and siding company, and then as a stenographer for Wisconsin Bell. She met and married her forever love, Ralph Roman Becher, on July 27, 1948 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1984.

After her children were born, Arline become a loving homemaker who always made time for her children and grandchildren's special sporting events. Arline enjoyed traveling, watching all kinds of sporting events, and especially loved to dance. She was well known for finding the area polka dances with a partner or two.

Survivors include her children: Tom (Betty) Becher of Greenville; Steve (Jane) Becher of Rapid City, South Dakota; Greg Becher of Hortonville and his special friend Connie; Barb Wolfgram of Combined Locks and her fiancé Darryl Steinhoff; Amy (Steve) Lecker of Greenville; and Jim (Jane) Becher of Hortonville. There are also many loving grandchildren: Lisa (Lynn Etnier) Becher, Brenda (Ann) Becher – Ingwalson, Chris (Trevor) Neider, Jessica (Brett) May, Amanda (Ryan) Coggins, Stephanie (Tom) Hill, Lindsey (Nathan) Davis, Dusty (Sara) Becher. Kyle Becher, Alisa Becher, Taylor Becher, Michael (Matt Rohlinger) Wolfgram, Ann (James) Mitchell, Dylan Lecker, Jami Lecker, Sutton (Jake) Rick, Nick Becher, Emily Becher, and Alex Becher. Arline also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Easton Becher-Etnier, Raya Becher-Etnier, Elizabeth Becher-Ingwalson, Tadhg Becher-Ingwalson, Justin Timmermann, Brook Neider, McKenzie Hill, Keegan Hill, Mae Coggins, Benjamin Coggins, future baby Coggins, John Wolfgram, Jr., Bella Mitchell, Jace Mitchell, and Jocelyn Mitchell; three brothers: Ken Werner of Janesville, Don (Karen) Werner of Appleton, and Ron (Carol) Werner of Hortonville, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, a son Richard, a grandson John Wolfgram, a brother Leon Werner, a sister Nataline (Don) Huettl, and a sister-in-law Mae Werner.

The funeral liturgy for Arline will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, N2385 Municipal Drive in Greenville, with Fr. Ric Basquinez and Fr. Justin Werner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call AT THE CHURCH on Sunday, July 21 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com, and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenville.

The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to a very special caregiver – Sherry Elliott – and the loving and caring staff at Living Tree Estates in Greenville and Grand Horizons West in Appleton. Everyone treated our mom with the utmost love and respect which she deserved. We will never forget your kindness.
