Alice Marie Moder

Alice Marie Moder, age 85 of Menasha, joined her daughter Karen in heaven on April 22, 2016 in Appleton. Alice was born on August 14, 1930 in Appleton to the late William and Maude (Ellefson) Beckman. On November 24, 1950 she married Leonard Moder and the two of them enjoyed over 65 years together. Alice was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. She could be tough as nails at times, but inside was kind, gentle and selfless – always putting the needs of her family first.

She was a very strong woman and stayed strong right to the end. She enjoyed life's simple pleasures such as playing cards, puzzles, coffee, ginger snaps, Sees lollipops and lemon meringue pie. She had a sharp mind for mechanical things and was known for her gut busting laugh and her ability to eat anything she wanted without gaining a pound.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Leonard, daughter Sharon Raymundo of Chula Vista, California, son Roger (Donna) Moder of Neenah, son-in-law Rick Drechsel of Appleton, grandchildren: Enrique, Monica and Ana Raymundo; Graham French; Wade (Alicia Engel) Moder; Tracy Drechsel; Lindsey (Dave Demmin) Drechsel; Carrie (Phil) Kussart and Jonathan Drechsel, great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Spencer French; Kyle Halverson; Lucas Demmin; Evan and Jenna Kussart, brother Russell “Bucky” Beckman and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Karen Drechsel, son-in-law Jessie Raymundo and six siblings.

A gathering will be held at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Oneida Street location on Tuesday April 26, 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
