Our Staff

Once you request the services of Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes & Crematories, we will immediately put our experienced funeral professionals to work for you. A single, dedicated individual, with the support of our entire team of professionals, will stay in contact with you every step of the way and guide you through the decision-making process. He or she will carefully explain your options, make recommendations at your request, take care of all the small details, and ensure that you and your family’s personal touch is always present.

Our funeral home employs the most experienced funeral professionals of any funeral home in the area. Everyone you meet is a part of a highly trained team whose focus it is to provide exceptional and meaningful service to each and every family in our care.


Our Staff: 


Dan Densow

Dan is a second generation funeral director and has been licensed since 1980. He has been employed at Wichmanns since 1983 and subsequently has been the owner of Wichmann Funeral Homes since 1988. He attended UW-Stout, received an Associate degree in Mortuary Science from MATC, and a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch College.

Dan's community involvement includes: Past President of University of Wisconsin Fox Valley Foundation, Member of Appleton Downtown Rotary Club and Appleton YMCA, active at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church having served as it’s vice-president and president of Council,  US Bank Board of Advisors, Board of Directors for Fox Valley Lutheran Homes, and Board of Directors for Selected Independent Funeral Homes Resources, Inc. He previously served on the City of Appleton Board of Health, Board of Directors of Fox Cities Children’s Museum and Appleton Area Schools Crisis Response Team. Dan's interests include skiing, biking, hiking, fitness training and spending time with his wife, Joanne and their three boys Dominic, Luke and Jake.

Terryl Wolfrath

Terryl has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1984 and has been employed by Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes since 1990. He currently serves as Managing Director of the funeral homes and is a Certified Funeral Service Professional. Terryl received his A.A. Degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, and his A.A.S. Degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Terryl's community involvement has included: Founding member of the Pride of the Valley Barbershop Chorus, member of the Community Advisory Board for St. Paul Elder Services, past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Culinary Coordinator for the Center for Grieving Children in Appleton. He currently serves on the Executive Committee at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna, where he also cares for the recently renovated pipe organ and volunteers as a member of the worship committee. 

He was born and raised in Appleton and along with his wife, Linda, keep busy with their three young daughters. The family enjoys camping, boating, fishing, hunting and just being together.

Terryl appreciates the opportunity to partner with families who are experiencing the difficult days surrounding the death of a loved one, and is committed to providing the highest possible level of care to them.

Debra DeBruin 

Debra has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1991 and was named a Managing Director of Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes in 2008. She started her career in funeral service in 1987, is extremely passionate about what she does and has been honored to serve families at Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes since 2005. Debra received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Carroll College, Waukesha in 1989. She then continued her education and graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1991 with an Associate Degree in Funeral Service.

Debra's community involvement includes: member of the Kaukauna Lions Club, Kimberly area Jaycees and volunteers with the Salvation Army. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Debra's hobbies include staying active which includes tennis, walking, biking, and spending time at the lake.

Annie M. Knapp 

Annie started her career in Funeral Service as an apprentice in February of 1998 and went on to achieve her Mortuary Science Degree from MATC in West Allis; graduating in June of 2000 and became a Licensed Funeral Director the same year. Annie is also a Licensed Aesthetician, a Notary Public, a classically trained singer, an accomplished cook, a member of the Neenah-Menasha Noon Optimist Club and past president and vice president of the Fox River Valley Funeral Directors Association.

A native of Waupaca, Annie moved to the Fox Valley about 14 years ago and resides in Menasha with her husband of 5 years, Chris, a football coach, and her dog, Solveig. When time permits, they enjoy riding their Harley-Davison’s or going boating on the Chain O’Lakes in Waupaca. She volunteers in the community, has many friends, and enjoys being part of the fabric of Menasha as well as the Fox Valley.


John Breitzman

John has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1978 and has been employed at Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes since 1974.  John attended the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Worsham College of Mortuary Science.

John's community involvement includes: member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Oney Johnson-Edward Blessman American Legion Post #38, Harvey Pierre VFW Post #2778, Sons of the American Legion, Fox Valley Vietnam Veterans Association, and the Grand Chute Lions Club.

Michael Keller 

Michael has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1975 and has been employed by Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes since 1995. Michael attended the University of Wisconsin and MATC-Funeral Service Program.

Larry Slonaker

Larry has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1985 and has been employed by Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes since 2009. Larry is an avid biker and enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim, and their three sons.

Rebecca Brozek

Rebecca has been a licensed funeral director since 2010, joining the Wichmann Fargo Funeral Homes in 2011. After earning a bachelors degree in Fine Art from U.W. Whitewater, Rebecca attended Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2009 receiving a degree in Applied Sciences. Rebecca enjoys participating in the Appleton area Jaycees, working on craft projects and baking. She is also a die hard Brewers fan, enjoying many summer days at Miller Park with her sister Sara.

Lisa Brennan

Lisa Joined Wichmann and Fargo Funeral Homes in the spring of 2012 as an Advance Planning Consultant. Lisa has assisted families on an individual basis planning funerals for 30 plus years as a local floral designer. As a life long resident of the Fox Valley she has focused on building long term relationships with the community as well as the Wichmann Fargo Funeral Home partners. With the ever-changing needs of funeral services, Lisa’s expertise in personalization, attention to detail and ability to anticipate every need, makes her a valuable asset to all families when planning such a personal event.

Eric Stadler

Welcome to our Wichmann-Fargo Funeral Home Staff one of our new Advance Funeral Planners- Eric Stadler. Eric is an Appleton native and lives in the area with his wife Kristin and two twin children, Kathryn and Jacob. One thing that has been very important to Eric is his strong connection to the community by volunteering. "I care about my community and value the importance of giving back." Eric is involved with different organizations including: member of the Appleton Sons of the America Legion Squadron No. 38, Field Commander for the Scarlet Guard Color Guard of Appleton's American Legion Post No. 38, member of the City of Appleton Parade Committee, and Entertainment Chairperson for Appleton's Octoberfest.

As an Advance Funeral Planner, "I am eager to help guide families in the advance funeral planning and funding process. It is a valuable service that I am passionate about. My goal is to make each person's funeral a true celebration of themselves that will help their friends and families heal when the need arises".

Karen Salm

Director of Community Outreach. Karen Salm, an Appleton native, received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire. She is putting her degree to good use with free-lance graphic design work for United Way, the Menasha Police Department and many other local organizations and businesses. Karen also enjoys her part-time position at Appleton’s Trout Museum, where she assists with events and helping patrons make the most of their visit. In her free time, Karen volunteers in the community and is one of the walk coordinators for The Walk for Suicide Awareness that is held annually in Kaukauna. Karen also enjoys travel, art, baking and crocheting.
